The Hiring Post provides the latest live ingest,media storage editing facilities and operators for Aurora Media’s media production team for The Festival of Speed and The Revival at Goodwood.
The Hiring Post has provided Aurora Media with the latest multi -channel live Quadrus ingest system for 8 and then 4 channels of HDSDI signals video and audio signals from an OB truck. The Media is transcoded to their in house editing format Pro Res and made immediately available for editing. It is stored on an Avid Nexis media server and a Qnap server for full back up.
The Hiring Post provided full pre-build , delivery and on site installation together with tech staff to manage the media over the whole event. In addition Hiring Post delivered ingest, logging, and transcoding station for the rushes , a viewing station and various editing suites including a finishing suite all running the latest Adobe Premier software. These were connected to the Avid Nexis shared storage system. After the media was editing and checked it was run through the Telestream Vidchecker QC system then delivered to the broadcasters QC server.

Aurora Media is the production partner for all the Goodwood Estate’s motorsports events. The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place in July and The Revival in September these programmes were delivered to ITV and are distributed to broadcasters around the globe; Aurora’s production includes highlights, live coverage on the event big screens, live coverage for broadcast and streaming, post-produced factual programming. With multiple cameras used, plus a large on-site team, the kit and assistance provided by Hiring Post was crucial.
